CURRENT MAP:

v0.75 - 20 July 2010 [ GARMIN IMG | GARMIN MAPSOURCE | KML | SHP | GPX ]

Colorado/Oregon/Dakota: Garmin added multiple map support to the Colorado (v2.94 beta and above) and Oregon 200/300/400 (v2.99beta and above) units with the newer firmware updates. The Dakota and Oregon 450/550 (and newer) units have always had this feature. I have added a Garmin IMG file that can be copied direct to the GPS without using MapSource, if you'd prefer.

This version of the maps includes a quick installer now. To install in MapSource, extract the ZIP file to a folder (preferably C:\ONTTRAILS) and run install.bat from that folder.

Mac users will need to use the Garmin MapInstall Tool to put the maps of their GPS

IMG File for Colorado/Oregon You can copy this file direct to your GPS or SD Card, instead of using MapSource. Make sure you have the most correct firmware on your GPS for this to work (see info at top of page).

Also available:

ESRI Shape File Use the Magellan HOWTO to merge this data with your existing mapset, and show the trails on Magellan receivers. (Tested so far on eXplorist only)

GPX File (for non-Garmin GPS units, like Delorme).

Google Earth KMZ, for viewing online primarily.
